Waiver Eligibility

Waiver-eligibility policy for the Al-Salihat:

• Eligibility: The waiver policy is applicable to all authors who are submitting papers to the Al-Salihat.
• Waiver request: Authors who need to request a waiver of the article processing charge (APC) must submit a waiver application form along with their paper submission. The waiver application form can be found on the Al-Salihat website.
• Waiver criteria: The following criteria will be used to assess waiver applications:
  • The author's country of residence
  • The author's affiliation
  • The author's funding status
  • The author's contribution to the paper
• Decision: Waiver decisions will be made by the Al-Salihat editorial board on a case-by-case basis.
• Appeals: Authors who are denied a waiver may appeal the decision by submitting a letter to the editorial board.

Here are some additional details about the waiver policy:

• Waiver applications must be submitted within 30 days of the paper submission deadline.
• The editorial board will make a decision on waiver applications within 30 days of the submission deadline.
• Authors who are granted a waiver will not be required to pay the APC.
• Authors who are denied a waiver may appeal the decision by submitting a letter to the editorial board within 15 days of the decision notification.
